032615_creamedspinacheggs_web6Breakfast is so important! Not only does it start your metabolism each day, but it also fuels your body for your day and sets the tone for your day. You’ve heard that breakfast is important but are you eating it?

I totally get it, sometimes it’s hard to cook something in the morning, and maybe it’s even impossible because you run out of the house before the sun comes up or you have limited time, or maybe you aren’t really hungry. Here are some options on things that I’ve done for breakfast.

On a typical day, I have the following:

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup of Spinach
  • 1 Slice of Whole Wheat Toast with 2TBs of Peanut butter

When I have to leave early and have no time to cook breakfast, I have my go-to shake.

My On-the Go Shake looks like:

  • 1 Scoop of Shakeology (Chocolate usually)
  • 1/2 -1 full Banana
  • 10 oz of Almond Milk
  • Blend and Go! Delicious!

I’ve also made these delicious morning egg bites, you get to eat 4 total and you can make a bunch in advance and just pop them in the microwave for a quick breakfast when you get to where you’re going.

You can always make a fruit bowl as well, my hubby has been having bags of fruit each morning while on his current diet, we mix up Strawberries, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, honey dew, watermelon, etc. He gets 3 Cups in his little baggie.

So there are tons of breakfast options no matter what your morning situation is. Aim to eat breakfast within the 1st hour of waking up, or at the very least drink some water right away and then eat when you can. but don’t skip breakfast!
